i love getting involved in conservation projects for so many reasons-

-
you can work closely with beautiful animals in amazing (often hard to get to) destinations
-
they provide a unique/intimate experience to get involved with new people/places
-
you can learn new skills, try different activities and meet new people
-
they give your travels/activities a purpose - and you can help protect our beautiful planet

what kind of project is right for you? think about what you like, and what you want to do. Also remember to consider costs, location and time requirements. Some projects (mostly voluntourism ones) are 'pay and go' - but i've always found plenty of opportunities where you don't pay a cent, so shop around for something that suits YOU!

I have had some truly magical experiences, so check out some project-spiration for you:
sure it sounds old school, but taking the time to sit down and write a bucket list can be one of the funnest and most rewarding things you can do, to better understand yourself and realise your dreams. But it doesn't have to be a one-off thing- why don't you try keeping a journal or construct a 'vision board' (if you're more of a visual learner) - and keep adding to it; ideas, names of organisations and contact numbers - whatever comes to mind.

so why not give it a try- take five minutes, sharpen a pencil and start to fill that blank piece of paper with travel destinations to visit, new skills to try, fun activities to do, people to meet and feelings to feel...

1.
time for some soul searching (and maybe a glass of wine)...
think about who you are and the person you want to be -
basically, what makes YOU tick?
write down some key words- what you're good at, what you like, what you want (or don't want)
now, narrow it down to your TOP THREE Picks
2.
whether that's top 3 travel destinations, or 3 things you want to say you've done in five years time -
prioritise and think about what matters the most
3.
start to sketch out the logistics
what do you need? where will you go? how can you sign up? Start writing out a rough itinerary
4.
now let's talk time and money
these don't have to be barriers by any means! but
