my 'summer of turtles'

i know this sounds silly, BUT as a marine biologist i wanted to get plenty of field experience - and see (and do) as many magical things as i could before i got a job. Working in hospitality is great and all (it has funded most of my adventures to date, that's for sure) but giving up a reliable income and stable location was one of the best things i did.
and i decided that my first summer as an (unemployed) marine biologist would be a SUMMER OF TURTLES :) so there are over 7 sea turtle conservation projects JUST on the West Australian coast - and i decided to try as many as i could over the next few months...
Here is a turtle video of some Flatback hatchlings on Cemetery Beach, Port Hedland.
This was my second 'project' for the summer of turtles :)
