Bundegi beach is one of the closest sanctuary areas to Exmouth town, Western Australia - perfect for a swim in the clear turquoise water or a snorkel further north when the fine white sand changes to oyster-covered rocks
we spent most of the day here, then explored a bit more of Dunes (had a snorkel here) in the Lighthouse Bay Sanctuary Area and then up toward the SS Mildura wreck.
The Mildura sits almost smack bang on the 'pinnacle' of the Exmouth cape - and she was very exposed at low tide. While we were there, the sun was setting and just casually, a pod of orcas swam past OHMYGOSH A POD OF ORCAS !! :) just magic !! I only wish i could have captured the moment in photos (i promise they really were there!!)
The Ningaloo region hosts a diverse array of plants animals and plankton - and i am so lucky to have seen my first orca in this beautiful place. Fingers crossed we'll see them off the boat tomorrow
here is the video xoxx
