Eradicat Trials

i travelled down to Manjimup, Western Australia for a week amongst the trees volunteering with DPaW. we were focussed on a project looking at improving feral cat baiting projects in jarrah forest areas. this involved setting camera traps to monitor eradicat baits, placed alongside roads and from aerial drops to understand how cats (and other animals) interacted with the 'eradicat sausages'.

i didn't get much video footage of my time down there as we were busy moving from place to place. But it was a wonderful way to see the beautiful southwest forests from Walpole to Pemberton and Nannup, and lovely to live in Manjimup for a little while :)

here is a photo of the time i climbed one of the old fire trees to watch the sunset over the forest canopy which was absolutely amazing!! :)

for anyone looking to get involved, Manjimup DPaW is always looking for volunteers for lots of projects that are always on the go :) so get in touch (or go for a visit)
